A PEDAGOGIA SOCIAL E A ATUAÇÃO DO PEDAGOGO NAS POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS PARA IDOSOS NO BRASIL

O artigo intenta analisar as políticas públicas brasileiras para os idosos, identificando projetos não escolares destinados à terceira idade em que haja espaço para a atuação do pedagogo. Compreendemos que a atuação educativa com esse público se insere no campo da Pedagogia Social, a qual definiremos nesse estudo. O tema é relevante por consistir em mais um campo para atuação do pedagogo, e por alertar sobre a importância de atividades que elevem a autoestima e proporcionem saúde física e mental aos idosos. A metodologia consiste em estudo bibliográfico e estudo de casos. Primeiramente definiremos Pedagogia Social e seu campo de atuação. No segundo momento, é feita análise da evolução do cuidado com a terceira idade no Brasil e das políticas públicas para os idosos. Por fim, apresentaremos alguns projetos inclusivos para a terceira idade na esfera pública e privada, visando compreender como o pedagogo pode atuar com este público. A pesquisa concluiu que a Pedagogia Social tem se consolidado como um campo de atuação do pedagogo. Apesar de recair sobre a área da saúde a maior responsabilidade sobre o cuidado com os idosos, é necessário o pedagogo compor a equipe multidisciplinar envolvida nos projetos de amparo e desenvolvimento desses sujeitos, tendo as instituições de formação grande influência nessa luta.
The article intends to analyze the Brazilian public policies for the elderly, identifying non-school projects for the elderly in which there is space for the pedagogue to work. We understand that the educational performance with this audience is part of the field of Social Pedagogy, which we will define in this study. The theme is relevant because it consists of another field for the pedagogue, and for alerting about the importance of activities that raise self-esteem and provide physical and mental health to the elderly. The methodology consists of a bibliographic study and case studies. First, we will define Social Pedagogy and its field of action. In the second step, an analysis is made of the evolution of care for the elderly in Brazil and public policies for the elderly. Finally, we will present some inclusive projects for the elderly in the public and private sphere, aiming to understand how the educator can work with this audience. The research concluded that Social Pedagogy has consolidated itself as a field of action for the pedagogue. Although the responsibility for caring for the elderly falls on the health area, it is necessary that the educator compose the multidisciplinary team involved in the support and development projects of these subjects, with training institutions having a great influence in this struggle.
